Privacy Policy

Tapiew (“Tapiew”, “we”, “us”) helps local businesses collect more Google reviews after appointments. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Account information. Name, email address, business name, phone number, timezone, and authentication details when you create a Tapiew account.

Business settings. Booking platform preference, Google review URL, messaging templates, review reward settings, automation preferences, and similar configuration.

Appointment and customer data. Appointment times, service names, customer names, phone numbers, and email addresses needed to send review requests and show bookings in your Tapiew dashboard.

Gmail booking emails (optional). If you connect Gmail, Tapiew requests the Google scope gmail.readonly so we can read booking confirmation emails from platforms such as Booksy and Fresha. We use this only to detect appointments and keep your Tapiew calendar in sync. We do not send email as you, modify your mail, or use unrelated inbox content for advertising.

Review activity. Review request status, link opens, ratings, private feedback, and related analytics events used to operate and improve the product.

Billing information. Payment and subscription details processed by our payment provider (for example Stripe). Tapiew does not store full card numbers.

Usage and device data. Basic logs, IP address, browser type, and product usage needed for security, debugging, and reliability.

We use information to:

• Provide and operate the Tapiew service
• Sync appointments from connected booking platforms or Gmail booking emails
• Send review requests by email, SMS, or WhatsApp according to your settings
• Show dashboards, reviews, analytics, and settings
• Process subscriptions and customer support
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with law

We do not sell personal information. We do not use Gmail content for ads or unrelated profiling.

When you connect Gmail, Tapiew’s use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Scope used. Tapiew requests only https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly. We do not request Gmail modify, send, or full mailbox management scopes.

Why this scope. Booking platforms such as Booksy and Fresha do not provide Tapiew with a public API for appointments in our use case. We therefore read booking confirmation emails in the connected Gmail inbox (for example messages from Booksy/Fresha) to create or update appointments in Tapiew. A narrower Gmail scope cannot list and read those messages.

Limited Use. We access Gmail only with your permission, only to detect booking-related emails needed for appointment sync, and only to provide the Tapiew features you requested (calendar sync and automated review requests after visits). We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, do not use it for credit worthiness, and do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to operate Tapiew under this policy and with appropriate safeguards. Human access to Gmail content is limited to security, compliance, or support cases where you have granted access or it is required by law.

You can disconnect Gmail at any time in Tapiew Settings. Disconnecting stops further Gmail access; previously synced appointment records remain in your Tapiew account until you delete them or close the account.

We share data only with:

• Service providers that help us run Tapiew (hosting, database, email/SMS delivery, payments, analytics)
• Authorities when required by law
• A successor entity if Tapiew is involved in a merger or acquisition

Providers are only allowed to process data for Tapiew-related purposes.

We keep account and business data while your account is active. Appointment, message, and review data are retained as needed to provide the service and maintain records. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting tapiewteam@gmail.com.

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and restricted server access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

• Close your Tapiew account

Tapiew may process data in the European Union, United States, or other regions where our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Tapiew is designed for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Tapiew after updates means you accept the revised policy.
